Indian President Smt Pratibha Patil inaugurated the newly built mission control room at SHAR, Sriharikota, Nellore. The mission control room has facilities like state of the art mission control hall, multi-channel CCTV, realtime network, VIP gallery, video conferencing, mission executive room, commentator room, etc and is linked to other ISRO ground stations in India.

Future rocket launching missions like Chandrayaan-2 and GSLV Mark-3 will be controlled and monitored from this mission control room.
