Adventure Club of Andhra Pradesh (ACAP) is organizing Trekking  program at Venkatagiri Durgam in Nellore Dist, Andhra Pradesh.

VENKATAGIRI DURGAM a rock Fort about 8 miles west of Venkatagiri Town. It was a defensive arrangement made by Rajah of Venkatagiri.  Vernkatagiri Durgam is a Peak 50 Kms. West of Tirupathi. The Trail is still untouched other than the locals and a few adventure groups. It is almost Virgin Trek Territory and difficult Trekking Route. The Trekking path is covered with small to medium sized pebbles and you pass through thorny bushes, steep Rocky Mountains and waterfalls. Venkatagiri Fort built in 1775 AD attracts visitors from all over the district. Front portion Fort namely Indra Mahal was built in 1883 AD. Venkatagiri is surrounded by a dense forest extending to the Tirupathi Hills. The Forest houses many sensual places of Natural Beauty like “KONA MALLESWAR KONA”. Here on can see waterfalls falling from 80 ft. height and also 300 years old SHIVA LINGAM.
