South Andhra Lutheran Church in the Vakadu church compound was built 150 years ago in 1872 by a German gentleman Ands Jacob Bucher. Their family stayed here while the church was being built and all of them expired here. Their graves can be found in the near by christian burial ground.

Another 100 year old monument in Nellore, the CAM High School too needs attention and much needed restoration efforts to bring back its past glory.
