Golagamudi temple is located about 15 km from Nellore city. A sage called Venkaiah lived here in the mid 20th century and attained maha samadhi at this place. People continue to worship him as Bhagavan Venkaiah Swamy. Aradhana the annual function is celebrated every year during the month of August.

hi it is very easy to reach golagamudi. it is very near to nellore town. so you have to reach nellore by bus or train from all cities in india. from nellore, you can book a calltaxi to golagamudi or one auto to reach there. further, it is very important that if you want to get peaceful darshan of sri venkaiahswamy, please avoid on thursdays.

You will have basic amenities in Golagamudi. But, piligrims usually stay at Nellore(around 8 km from Temple) and visit temple. A.P.tourism is constructing their hotel there. Not sure about the exact temple timings, i know temple will be open for sure between 7 am to 8 pm.

One Day swamy said about Sri Ranga Nayaka Swamy Temple in Nellore.
Ayya ! ee Ranganayakula gudi 40 yendlaki nela mattam avutundayya !.Till now all are happned what swamy said.We can not say this is a false comment.Already Veerabramhendra Swamy also said same thing as venkayya swamy in his Kalagnanam.I dont know in which year swamy made this comment at Ranganayaka Swamy Temple in Nellore.i am guessing this might happned between 1970-1975.But Nellore people should carefull that time when this will heppen.

OneDay Megastar Chiranjeevi’s father visited venkayya swamy at Golagamudi village.That time he was working as a Sub-Inspector for rural Nellore region.That time Konedala Sivasankara VaraPrasad(CHIRU) just completed his studies.With out any job he is just timepassing along with his friends in Nellore.Chirus Father asked Venkayya swamy ” Swamy! My son completed his studies but he is not yet get any job.I am bothering about my son’s future.Kindly tell me the future of my Son.Then Immediayely Swamy said ” Ayya! Ayanakemi Ayya! Ayana Godekki Dance Vestundla!”.But he could not understand what swamy was said about his son .Later on CHIRU Became a Megastar in Telugu Cinema Industry.Then Every where Chirus Movie Posters having Dancing stills on the street walls.Finally Chirus father came to know the meaning of what swamy said about his son that day” Ayya! Ayanakemi Ayya! Aayana Godekki Dance Vestundla!”.He spent some money while constructing Venkayya swamy tempel at Golagamudi.Even today CHIRU used to visit venkayya swamy every year.

From Hyd to Nellore lot of Trains is there search in Irctc web site ,Simhapuri Exp (10:30 pm From hyd),Narayanadri Exp,Padmavathi Exp,once u reach the nellore u find the Nellore Bus stand .Every 30 minutes buses is available from Nellore Bus stand to Golagamudi,Golagamudi temple is located about 15 km from Nellore city.
