Getting ready for panchayat elections

While the MLC elections have concluded with the ongoing vote counting, the district administration is getting ready for the upcoming panchayat elections in the next six months. Panchayat Raj department has started preparing the electoral rolls already. Of the 961 panchayats, 33% seats are reserved for women, 34% for B.C.s, 16.2% for S.C.s and 6.6% for S.T.s.
