Somarajupalli Raghavendra Rao of SPSR Nellore district has the unique distinction of being in power for a record 24 years, as the Sarpanch of Kogili grama panchayat, Chittamuru Mandalam. He won uncontested in 1981, 1987 and 2006. 1995 election was a content, which he won with a good majority.
