Nellore is going to host the 37^th National Games, the symbol of domestic supremacy in the country. Director of Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Mr. Bandaru Hanumanth Rao said that the AP government was very happy when they heard the news about Andhra Pradesh being allotted the 2019 edition.

State administrators have decided to host the sports at Nellore. Director of SAAP explained that the IOA meeting had zeroed in on AP bid after Uttarakhand Government expressed its inability to host the games. AP government has also submitted its bid to host the 2019 edition by depositing Rs 50 lakh security amount. The SAAP chief said that they would deliver a qualitative and successful edition, the chief minister Mr. Naidu has been in the forefront of promotion of sports.
