Thousands of people visit Pulicat lake to have a glimpse of magnificent Flamingos near Sullurpet every year. This place is known to be the winter home for many migratory birds.

Stalls of various government departments and cultural programmes would be arranged. Artist Sk.Musavir had made miniature replicas of flamingos. He has used 2.500mg of silver to make 10cm long and 2.5cm tall birds.  He made these replicas to preserve it for future generation. It took two days for him to make these miniature replicas.
