All the works related to the proposed Government Medical College in Nellore are being hastened to make it a reality by next year at least. 75 acres of land on the premises of the government headquarters hospital was made available for the project.

An action plan for obtaining various permissions and licenses for the construction of buildings was released during the review meet held by the Finance Minister Anam Ram Narayana Reddy. The new building of the V.R. College may be used to  conduct classes till the completion of construction works.
