The Andhra Pradesh cabinet gave its formal nod to Nellore airport at Dagadarthi, putting an end to all th confusion over the location of the airport. The ministry of civil aviation has already given the site clearance for developing the green field no-frills airport. The 368-crore airport to be deeloped by Messer Turbo Consortium will come up in 1,352 acres at Dagadarthi. The cabinet approved allotment of 110 acres in Nellore to Midhani for setting up an aluminum alloy plant.

The cabinet also gave its nod for the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Corridor Development Bill-2017 which will help in development, maintenance, planning and regularization of various nodes under Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor and Chennai-Bengaluru industrial corridor that pass through AP .
