Malaysian firm has come forward to invest Rs. 3000 crore for the proposed regasification and storage terminal at Krishnapatnam Port. This terminal will be Build, Own and Operate (BOO) mode within 2 years.
Malaysia based Isomeric Holdings Private Limited ad Vijayawada based LEPL company with an equity share of 74 percent and 26 percent will be jointly constructing the terminal which has capacity of 5 million tonnes per annum. Petronas another Malaysian company will be partnering with the project at later stage.
This project is expected to provide employment to 3000 people. Once the plant is operational the terminal will play a role in supplying gas to households in AP, Karnataka and Tamilnadu states through pipeline.
