MoEF gives clearance to APIIC’s Naidupeta SEZ

The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) received environmental clearance from the Union ministry of environment and forests (MoEF) for a multi-product special economic zone (SEZ) at Naidupeta in Nellore district. Spread over 2550.79 acres the SEZ has been developed at a cost of Rs 114 crore. It will cover Dwarakapuram, Pallepalem, Menakur, Konetirajupalem and Palluchuru villages of Naidupeta and Pellakuru mandals. Around 1,200 acres would be available for new industries and the remaining area would be used for common infrastructure facilities.

MoEF stipulated that there shall be no manufacture of automobile parts, but the SEZ can be used for assembly of automobiles. The SEZ will have an employment potential of 40,000 jobs. Three to four companies such as Aurobindo, PEL (Prime Electric Limited) and Green Tech have already established their facilities by taking independent approvals from MoEF.

Japanese hub to come up in Nellore district

A Japanese industrial cluster is expected to come up between Krishnapatnam and Sri City (near Tada) in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. The Japanese cluster is expected to further catalyze already vibrant industrial scene in Nellore district. The region includes Menakur SEZ, Mambattu SEZ, Pantapalem Industrial Park and Ankulapur Industrial Park of APIIC apart from Sri City SEZ in the private sector.

The Government of India announced that Krishnapatnam will be made an industrial smart city and will be made part of the Chennai-Bengaluru industrial corridor, which is expected to receive substantial Japanese investments.

Krishak Bharathi Cooperative Limited to set up fertilizer plant in Nellore

Kribhco (Krishak Bharathi Cooperative Limited) is going to set up the long pending fertilizer plant in Nellore district. The Andhra Pradesh Government has issued orders to allot 286 acres of  land to the cooperative giant to start works of the  plant in Sarvepalli Industrial Park in Nellore. Over 50 acres of land is also allotted for UPI Polymers which is planning to establish an industrial unit to manufacture pipes, sprinklers and drip irrigation equipment.

KRIBHCO

The Production in the plant will start within 24 months after the land is given to the company  by APIIC. Kribhco will invest about 2,000 crore in the two phases in the ammonia complex fertilizer plant. UPI polymers are going to invest about 400 crores in its unit and generate a few hundred direct and indirect jobs.

GO transferring the land to APIIC, which in turn will transfer property to Kribhco and UPI Polymers at a market rate of Rs 7 lakhs per acre was issued. APIICC chairman P.Krishnaiah told that few more industries are interested to start industries in Sarvepalli Industrial Park.  The Container Corporation of India wants to start a unit and has requested for 150 acres of land.

Green Tech Industries (India) Pvt. Ltd making auto parts from Dwarakapuram near Naidupet, Nellore

Green Tech Industries (India) Pvt. Ltd., has planned to manufacture auto parts from Auto Parts Manufacturing Facility – Raw castings: 60000 TPA & Finished parts 30,00,000 pieces per annum in 210 acres in Multi-Product SEZ of APIIC, near Dwarkapuram village of Naidupet madal in Nellore district.

Bhartiya International SEZ Ltd near Tada, Nellore

Bhartiya International SEZ Ltd is an exclusive cluster for leather and leather products as a thrust for generating employment and boost exports from Andhra Pradesh. The project area extends to 250.49 acres in Tada mandal of SPSR Nellore District. It was notified by the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India in the Gazette of India on 4th May, 2009.

Bhartiya International SEZ Limited is a joint venture formed between M/s Bhartiya International Limited and Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (APIIC) with 88.4% & 11.6% equity, respectively for development of the project. The SEZ is currently operational. The first unit of BIL commissioned and started exports by generating direct employment to 300 people and indirect employment to another 300 people.

Indus Coffee to invest Rs80 crore in instant coffee plant in Mambattu

Indus Coffee Pvt Ltd is investing about Rs80 crore to setup an instant coffee manufacturing plant at Mambattu SEZ, Tada mandal near Sullurupet in Nellore district. The Mambattu Industrial Park located near Tada is operated by APIIC.

APIIC allocated 30 acres of land for the coffee plant, where ground breaking ceremony was performed on 15th August. The factory is expected to commence operations in an year and provide employment to about 300 people.

Singapore based Food Empire Holdings Ltd recently incorporated a private limited company in Hyderabad, India called Indus Coffee Private limited in 2012. Food Empire Holdings is a major food and beverages company that deals with 200 types of products exported to 50 countries with own brands like – MacCoffee, Klassno, FesAroma, Bésame, OrienBites, MacCandy, Kracks, MacFood, Zinties and Hyson.

APIIC extended invitation to entrepreneurs to set up industries in SPSR Nellore district. 14 industrial plots in multi-product SEZ in Nayudupeta, 25 plots in Attivaram industrial park, 5 plots in Mambattu SEZ Phase-I and 29 plots in Mambattu SEZ Phase-II are available in the district. Plots are also available for lease.
