Indus Coffee of Food Empire Holdings Ltd, Singapore is setting up another freeze dried coffee plant in Naidupeta multi-product SEZ near Menakuru. The granulated coffee plant to be setup in 20 acres with an investment of Rs304 crore will create direct employment for 300 people and indirect employment for another 200 people.
Indus Coffee is already having an instant coffee plant in Mambattu SEZ near Sullurupeta that produces 10 types of instant coffee products.
Naidupeta SEZ, established in 2005, is home to 5 heavy and 15 small and medium industries.
The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) received environmental clearance from the Union ministry of environment and forests (MoEF) for a multi-product special economic zone (SEZ) at Naidupeta in Nellore district. Spread over 2550.79 acres the SEZ has been developed at a cost of Rs 114 crore. It will cover Dwarakapuram, Pallepalem, Menakur, Konetirajupalem and Palluchuru villages of Naidupeta and Pellakuru mandals. Around 1,200 acres would be available for new industries and the remaining area would be used for common infrastructure facilities.
MoEF stipulated that there shall be no manufacture of automobile parts, but the SEZ can be used for assembly of automobiles. The SEZ will have an employment potential of 40,000 jobs. Three to four companies such as Aurobindo, PEL (Prime Electric Limited) and Green Tech have already established their facilities by taking independent approvals from MoEF.
APIIC extended invitation to entrepreneurs to set up industries in SPSR Nellore district. 14 industrial plots in multi-product SEZ in Nayudupeta, 25 plots in Attivaram industrial park, 5 plots in Mambattu SEZ Phase-I and 29 plots in Mambattu SEZ Phase-II are available in the district.
