SHAR is going to launch PSLV-C32 at 4 PM on 10th March from Sriharikota in Nellore district. Its payload is the sixth spacecraft in the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS-1F), which aims to improve global positioning services over India and neighboring regions.

ISRO’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle C23 is scheduled for launching on June 30th at 09:49 hours IST from Satish Dhawan Space Center, Sriharikota. PSLV-C23 is going to carry five foreign satellites from Canada, France, Germany, and Singapore.
French Earth Observation Satellite SPOT-7 which is of 714kg is the main payload. AISAT of Germany is of 14kg, NLS7.1 (CAN-X4) & NLS7.2 (CAN-X5) of Canada weighing 15kg, and 7kg VELOX-1 of Singapore are being carried as co-passengers.
According to ISRO spokesperson B.R.Guruprasad, All the five satellites have been integrated with the PSLV-C23 and the final phase of checks is in progress. 49 hour countdown for the mission will commence at 8:49AM on June 28 once the clearance is approved form the Launch Authorisation Board on 27th of June.

Venadu darga gandhotsavam will be held on 8th Jan 2014. The 600 year old Venadu darga of Hazrat Dawood Shah Wali, with its 144ft Mazar is said to be the longest in Asia. The darga is located about 11 KM from Atakani Thippa village near Sullurupet. Music director AR Rahaman’s family visit the darga every year along with many devotees from AP, Tamilnadu and Karnataka.
The three-day bird festival of Sullurupet in Nellore district, the Flamingo Festival is scheduled to begin on January 8th 2014. The district administration has been organising the festival every year to mark the arrival of thousands of migratory birds, especially flamingos, to Nelapattu Birds sanctuary and Pulicat lake, their winter home.
The festival was planned about a decade ago to attract tourists to the sanctuary from the state and neighbouring states. Stalls of various government departments and cultural prorgammes would be arranged at the junior college ground at Sullurpeta during the festival. Seminars on bio-diversity, birds and protection of Pulicat lake would also be conducted. Boat rides will be arranged for the visitors at Bheemulavaripalem in Tada mandal.
The world-famous Rottela Panduga (Roti Festival) at Bara Shaheed Dargah, Swarnala Cheruvu in Nellore city will be held on 16th and 17th November 2013. More than 5 lakh devotees from across the world are expected to visit Nellore on these days to exchange rotis as a thanksgiving for fulfilment of their wishes.
