Rs 100 Cr is the estimated cost for drinking water supply programme in Nellore

To overcome the water scarcity during summer the government will be implementing a special drive in the district as per Municipal Administration minister P.Narayana.

The estimation for this programme would cost 100 crore which would be shared by the state government and the municipalities. According to the minister a special cell would be formed at the district collectorate to take measures for handling water shortage in all the mandals of Nellore district. Mr Narayana has also said that, as part of the Swachh Bharat, a plant would be established in every district for the management of waste material and drain water.

Minister has inaugurated new Zilla Parishad building which has been constructed on 3.66 acres at a cost of Rs 7 crore. ZP chairman Bommireddy Raghavendra Reddy, said that ZP is giving top priority to education.
