Construction of permanent buildings and infrastructure for Vikrama Simhapuri Univeristy has been pending due to delays in land acquisition. CM Kiran Kumar Reddy laid the foundation stone way back on 24th July 2011.

About 65 acres of land allocated to the university is under cultivation by about 40 farmers under Kakuturu village. A meeting was held yesterday to discuss objections from farmers, if any, and finalize the compensation details. Looks like some progress is being made at last.
