Flying 5000 miles to nest on a neem tree near Nellore

It’s that time of year again. Winged guests started arriving on a neem tree in Vennavada village, Atmakuru Mandal in SPSR Nellore district. These cranes (painted storks) fly in hundreds all the way from Nigeria, about 5000 miles away, every year to nest on the same neem tree in Vennavada village.

They come in December ever year, build their nests on the neem tree, lay eggs, hatch them, rear their young ones till they can fly and then go back to Nigeria. They stay on this tree for about six months before flying back to Nigeria. Villagers await the arrival of these birds every year and play host to these winged guests.

Thank you Simhapuri for suggestion around Nellore clean enviornment..
Ranganayakula petah Anicut road need more trees to be planted and open drainage to be cpvered and underground drainage will leesen the mosquito probelms. Municipal school campus inside and outside is so garbage, plastics and other waste if cleaned will make students and neibouring places good sanitation and healthy and decrease mosquitos.
